What is splitting?

How does splitting work? Split tokens and pools
Splitting works based on a liquidity pool—a closed and self-sustaining decentralized system. Essentially, the liquidity pool is a large cryptocurrency wallet containing cryptocurrencies that are frozen for decades. This wallet is decentralized—without an owner. It belongs only to the blockchain, and only the blockchain can manage the tokens stored in the balance.
The blockchain issues rewards from the pool according to the strict rules of the smart contract. The smart contract algorithmically incorporates a rule to reward the user who provides it with liquidity. The right to rewards is determined by special shares—splits.
Splits are a type of token with a single purpose: to determine a user's right to a reward. Every day, a certain amount of ULTIMA tokens, which is divided by the total number of split tokens among participants, is distributed in the pool. The more splits a user has, the greater their reward.
The blockchain calculates the reward for each split daily according to the concluded smart contract. This reward is not limited in time—tokens can be received by the children and grandchildren of today's split token owners.
Currently, several pools are operating in the blockchain, each distributing rewards among its participants.
How is the reward distributed among the pool participants?
The size of the distributed reward depends on the duration the split token is held in the wallet and the halving period.
Halving is the process of continuously halving the incoming supply of ULTIMA tokens to the market. The main goal of halving is to curb cryptocurrency inflation by reducing the issuance of new tokens. Depending on the type of pool, halving occurs once a year or every six months.
Currently, 25 tokens are distributed daily among the participants in each pool, proportional to the number of splits they hold. This amount is divided by the total number of split tokens among the participants. The resulting value is multiplied by the number of split tokens held by a specific user. The final number is reflected in the "My Estimated Reward" column—this is the reward.
After the next halving, the amount will be halved and will continue to decrease until it reaches one token per day in 2028. This means that the reward amount will also decrease. Therefore, it makes sense to join the pool as early as possible.
How to start splitting? A step-by-step guide
It's simple.
First and foremost, you need to choose a pool. At the time of this video, the system includes the PREMIUM pool, GOLD pool, UNITY pool, and VIP pool.
After selecting a pool, you need to enter into a split contract. To do this, select a package with the characteristics that suit you from your personal account on the DeFi-U website. The packages vary in the number of splits a user gets after concluding the contract.
After paying for the package, you need to transfer the received split tokens to your SMART Wallet. You can request your first reward after 24 hours. After requesting the reward, a new countdown timer starts, and you can get the second reward after another 24 hours.
What to do with the received reward?
The ULTIMA obtained from splitting can be easily capitalized in various ways:
- Sell on an exchange or internal exchange and withdraw in fiat currency;
- Exchange and transfer to an Ultima debit card and spend in almost any country in the world;
- Purchase physical goods on the internal marketplaces of the ecosystem;
