We’re excited to introduce a new feature — Fee Protector, designed to help users avoid spending their ULTIMA coins when they lack the necessary resources to complete transactions. With Fee Protector, you’ll receive a message every time you initiate a transaction, showing the exact amount of resources required. If your balance doesn’t meet the requirements, you’ll get a warning.
Let’s look at an example of sending a DBSP token. On the transaction confirmation screen, in the fee section, you’ll see the exact amount of bandwidth and energy needed to complete the transaction:
For example, to send DBSP tokens, you need 345 units of bandwidth and 14,300 units of energy.
If you have enough resources, the transaction will go through without issues.
However, if your resources are insufficient, pressing the “Next” button will open Fee Protector, alerting you that if you don’t have enough resources, the fee will be paid in ULTIMA.
Fee Protector also shows both your current resource balance and the amount required for the transaction. In this example, the user doesn’t have enough bandwidth:
By clicking the “Buy more resources” button, you’ll be redirected to the Energy Market, where you can purchase the missing resources.
To complete the transaction, check the box on the Fee Protector screen and click “Confirm”:
That’s it! You’ve successfully completed a transaction using Fee Protector.
