Today, the principle of decentralization that underlies cryptocurrencies, coupled with the absence of intermediaries such as banks and other financial institutions, positions cryptocurrencies as a secure and highly confidential means of transferring money. Nevertheless, the flip side of this freedom is the risk of potential fund loss.
The Ultima token finds its stronghold in the Smart Wallet, a cutting-edge crypto wallet renowned for its remarkable security features. This wallet is fortified against hacking attempts, making it one of the safest environments for storing your tokens. However, even with cutting-edge security measures, it’s crucial to follow simple yet essential security guidelines.
In this instruction, we will shed light on these guidelines. By following them diligently, you can fortify your financial holdings and ensure a positive experience in the world of cryptocurrency.
1. Establish a secure access PIN and enable biometric authentication so that only you can enter the wallet
To do this, go to the Settings section of your application. In the Security subsection, choose the PIN code option and slide the toggle to set a six-digit, randomly arranged PIN code for your wallet. To change it, click on the Change PIN option.
It is imperative that your PIN code be complicated; make it up of different numbers arranged in random order, this will make it impossible to brute force it. Avoid easily guessable combinations like “888888”.
Furthermore, you can enhance your wallet’s security by enabling biometric login confirmation via Face ID or Touch ID in the respective settings.
2. Enable transaction confirmation
By enabling transaction confirmation through facial recognition or fingerprint authentication, you add an extra layer of protection, ensuring that no one else can initiate transfers from your wallet without your consent.
To activate this feature, navigate to the Transaction Confirmation settings.
Please note that you must have already set up a PIN / Face ID / Touch ID for your Smart Wallet to access this feature.
Afterward, input your previously established PIN / Face ID / Touch ID.
Then, activate the Transaction Confirmation toggle.
Additionally, we emphasize the significance of the mnemonic phrase you receive when creating your wallet. Never store it digitally, whether on your phone or computer. Never share it with anyone. The safest approach is to write it down onto paper and securely hide it.
These straightforward rules outlined in this guide are essential for safeguarding your assets. Therefore, we kindly ask you to share this instruction with other Ultima ecosystem users to ensure their financial security.
